Gale/Scion of Halaster
I’m looking at making my second CEDH deck, and was interested in running dimir spellslinger. With my current list, my win conditions are: Thoracle/Lab-man & Consult/Pact, Hullbreaker & Mastermind/Bowmasters, Floodcaller & Ret. Helix & OBM. While I understand this likely won’t be a tEDH viable commander, I would appreciate some feedback and advice on how to improve my list.
Current feedback I’ve received from my pod/friends:
[[Sapphire Medallion]] and [[Jet Medallion]] aren’t doing much: they’re placeholders until I can get my hands on a copy of Chrome Mox and Gemstone Caverns.
[[Street wraith]] seems like it isn’t doing much: it’s not, I just like the card, and it’s free card draw. I’m very open to replacing this, likely with a Mox Amber or a Mana crypt (should it be unbanned).
[[Tidal Bore]] doesn’t advance your gameplan much: It’s a free untap of one of my looters, and it can function as both an enable and as a ritual if I haven’t played a land yet.
As a personal preference I do not proxy, which is keeping me away from cards like Intuition and Mox Diamond for the initial list.
I don’t really have a budget I’m trying to adhere to, and am planning to slowly upgrade this deck throughout the next year.
