Hot mess kitty

I adopted this guy about 6 months ago now. He had a rough start: found in street, no teeth, broken (healed wonky)femur. He was perfect when I brought him home and was playing the first day, running around with the demon in him. After a couple of weeks he started acting weird and not eating, I took him to the vet and the vet legit told me to put him down after he saw the blood work, which was admittedly very bad, and I agreed because I didn’t want to be selfish.

We had a whole ass wake for him and said our good byes but I didn’t feel right about it because there is no way he went from okay to sick so fast but the vet assured me this was a “16 year old cat that was suffering” I sent the blood work to a cat rescue owner who I worked with over the years and who I got the cat from and she said it looked like FiP, had no idea what that was.

Long story short. He has FiP. And also ear mites and fleas that he someone got at the vet. (Now taken care of painstaking)

To be clear I took him to a second (much better) vet and he said that and I quote “is not a 16 year old cat, do not put him down”

Anywho 2 more weeks on meds!!! 😭💕
