I just found this SL-D3 on Facebook Marketplace and I’m wondering if it’s a good deal.

The seller says it’s been fully restored. It has a new dust cover and hinges, fresh paint, the original feet, and the original tonearm. The only thing I noticed is that the counterweight isn’t the original SL-D3 one. He says it’s from an SL-1200. I’m pretty new to turntables, but I know the SL-1200 is considered a really high-end deck, so I’m not sure if that’s actually a good thing or not.

He’s asking $80 for it.

Would you guys say it’s worth picking up for that price?

What do you think about the sound quality of this turntable? I’m thinking about buying it — they’re asking $60 for it.

The guy is asking me for $60 USD for it. He sent me a video where it seems to work relatively well, but he says something is broken. Honestly, I can’t figure out what it is (I’m new to the turntable world).

Could someone tell me what’s damaged, how much it would cost to repair, and whether it’s worth it for that price?
