What does it mean if no one from my school has attended a top 50 college?

I'm a rising senior enrolled in an online school due to opportunities for American in-person schools in my area ('cus I'm living abroad). I talked to a college coach a while ago and he said that my chances for a top 50 are slim BECAUSE mainly everyone at my online schools goes to a community college or a 90%+ acceptance university. He literally said told me to forget about my dreams of going to NYU and settle for a community college. Is this true? What should I do to prove that I am not like the students who are in my online school (I mean it in a non-offensive way)?

$1,600 vs $600... which is better?

Okay so I'm a rising senior and I have a lot of abnormal and special circumstances about my profile and high school experience. I'm applying to college this year and I really want to get into NYU. So, I'm looking at 2 different college counseling programs:

  1. Harvard Student Association - Harvard students that help with the process of applying, essays and SAT prep. The 20 hour bundle is $1.6K.
  2. A Yale student - a student at Yale that got into basically all the top universities. She's offering a 20 hour bundle for $600.

The second one is SO much cheaper and in my families affordability, but which would be best in your opinions. A more experienced and established institution or a girl who can help out?

NYUAD students... Personal statement

People with experience in writing personal statements or NYUAD students. Which this a good focus/topic for my personal statement?

  1. Dealing with chronic pain for years and doctors diagnosing me incorrectly. Having to come to the conclusion of what my illness was myself. I'd tie this to how I found my voice through this, also tying it to how I let others also speak for my identity and how I overcame that.... also tying in that it's the reason I started my NPO.

  2. Moving to three different continents over the timeframe of 3 years. I'll tie in how insane the culture shock was and how much it's changed me, and ultimately led to realize how "privileged" and had all the right opportunities in the first country vs where I am now.

  3. How I found myself through different forms of art (painting, selling home decor, editing, making paper art) in each country I lived in, and how they each lowkey describe who I was at the time of living in that country.

  4. How I don't belong anywhere I've ever lived in and tying it to how I came to peace with that.

  5. A combination of each? gimme ideas!

Should I apply ED to NYUAD or nah

I'm applying this coming admissions cycle and NYUAD is one of my top choices. Excepttt, if I hypothetically get into a school like Brown, I'd want choose Brown over NYUAD (but doing ED for nyuad would hold me back, assuming I got in to both). So applying ED is scary but at the same time, it's more likely I get into NYUAD if I apply early?

Here is my application for consideration:

STATS:

  • 4.0 UW GPA / no weighted
  • 3 Dual enrollment classes (all As) -- No APs, or IB cus my school offers NONE.
  • SAT this August. Expecting a 750 math, raising RW score tho.

EXTRACURRICULARS:

  • Founder: an organization w/ 120 volunteers, 400 USD raised, and multiple collabs with bigger organizations.
  • Finance/research club president: 17 researchers, 50 members, 9 articles produced, 3 papers in works, published research course, .
  • Research paper (finance related) in process of publishing.
  • Research Assistant for a PhD student.
  • member of a big name business CTSO: won a national award, 2 smaller awards, and setting up a leadership system for my chapter.
  • marketer for an award winning movie.
  • content creator with millions of views.
  • paid UGC creator for a company with over 5 million users. grew their reach by a couple hundred.
  • head of graphic design for a NPO's social media page that gets over 1 million views per month. manage a team of 6 designers and maintain the page's theme.
  • substitute teacher at an elementary school.
  • SAT math tutor.

I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO TELL ME IF I HAVE A CHANCE OF GETTING IN. I want to know if it's better applying RD or ED based on my profile.

Can I get into NYU AD campus?

I'm an american student applying for undergrad at NYUAD this upcoming fall. I have a 4.0, but a low SAT (which im tryna get up - when is the latest I can take the SAT if I want to apply ed1?). I do online school because I moved out of the US like 3 years ago. I have a bunch of extracurriculars that I lowkey did on my own but none have like insane impact, yk? Most of my ecs are research, advocacy and art related. I got into the NYUAD UPP program for this summer. Will that increase my chances? And what's the likelihood that I could get a full-ride scholarship? PLEASE HELP. AM I AIMING TOO HIGH?
