How to install Android on CachyOS?

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully installed Waydroid on CachyOS, because I've been trying for several days and I always end up running into a different issue.

I've managed to install Waydroid along with all the required dependencies, including the ARM translation libraries. However, once I finally get it running, a lot of problems start showing up.

Some of the issues I've encountered are:

  • Severe graphical glitches.
  • Waydroid sometimes doesn't start at all.
  • Wi-Fi or audio randomly stop working inside Waydroid.
  • I can't install Android applications.
  • Some apps that require ARM translation constantly crash or simply won't open.
  • Even when Waydroid does start, it's almost unusable because of the graphical glitches.

I've already tried pretty much everything:

  • Followed the official documentation.
  • Searched for solutions on forums and GitHub.
  • Used AI tools and did extensive research.
  • Reinstalled everything from scratch multiple times.
  • Tried both the regular kernel and the LTS kernel.

Despite all that, I always end up with one or more of these issues and can't get a stable installation.

So I wanted to ask:

  • Does Waydroid actually work properly on CachyOS, or are these issues still common?
  • Is there a specific installation procedure that avoids all these problems?
  • Is there any additional configuration required to get hardware acceleration and ARM applications working correctly?

If anyone has a working setup, I'd really appreciate it if you could share the steps you followed or point me to a guide that actually works.

Thanks in advance!

How to increase the performance of Zenless Zone Zero on Linux?

I'm wondering what I should do to improve the performance of Zenless Zone Zero on Linux.

On Windows, my laptop usually runs the game at 100+ stable FPS, and in lighter areas/lobbies it can even reach 144 FPS. However, on Linux I can't get similar performance no matter which Proton version or launcher I try.

Right now I'm using the Epic Games version through Heroic Games Launcher.

Is there a better launcher, Proton configuration, or setup recommended for this game on Linux?

System Specs

OS: CachyOS x86_64
Host: Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fb2xxx
Kernel: Linux 7.0.9-1-cachyos
Desktop: KDE Plasma 6.6.5 (Wayland)
WM: KWin

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS @ 5.10 GHz
GPU 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU
GPU 2: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics
RAM: 14.87 GB

Display: 1920x1080 @ 144Hz

Disk Usage:
- 370 GB / 509 GB used (btrfs)

Memory Usage:
- RAM: 9.95 GB / 14.87 GB
- Swap: 6.84 GB / 14.87 GB

I've already tried different Proton versions and basic tweaks, but performance is still far below what I get on Windows. Any recommendations are appreciated.

(I had to lower all the graphics settings quite a bit, but it only improved a little; the game still stutters XD. On Windows it was a medium-low configuration, here on Linux it's the lowest possible setting.)
