This documentary follows the experiences of cast and crew during the making of Apocalypse Now. I feel learning about the extreme experiences and stress of the cast helps one appreciate what it took to make a masterpiece. It features a ton of great interviews and behind the scenes insights.

The lengths Coppala went to to complete Apocalypse Now are extraordinary and well worth learning about. It blew me away that he financed much of the shoot and almost went bankrupt completing the project.

First of all, I really enjoyed the recent HL Hunt episodes. It never ceases to amaze me how far back the link between billionaires, Christian Fundamentalism, and right wing media goes. I was listening to Season 3 of the Blowback podcast and HL Hunt came up briefly as a back of General Douglas MacArthur's failed 1952 bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

As an aside, anyone who is interested in deeper dives into the history of US military/foreign policy interventions in the 20th century, Blowback is great. https://blowback.show/
