Sabine had masses on her mammary chains and had to have it all removed yesterday. One is being biopsied, so here's hoping that comes back benign. She's back home and resting on top of me, so legally I cannot move.
We just finished a demo drive. It was a 30 minute time slot, but we were only given 15 minutes of actual drive time. Thankfully they were slammed, so while they've normally been riding along to keep the R2 demos going smoothly, they simply gave us the keys.

There were many positives, but the only ones I noted that I don't really see brought up is that the turn radius is shockingly good, and the ventilation for the seats is very powerful and was very gratefully received on this hot day.

The only negatives/quirks I noted that I haven't seen mentioned was that climate control for the rear seats can only be turned on by accessing the climate control screen for the *front* seats and tapping the center console in the image. Also, maybe this was a problem for this specific vehicle, but the frunk release was finicky.

We did not have the same problems others have complained about such as with moving the front air vents to point where we needed, the AC turning off randomly, or the scroll wheels being overly sensitive (sensitive, yes, but not as bad as some have made it seem).

I made my R2 reservation on Mar 12, 2026. I don't currently own or have a lease for a Rivian vehicle. I live less than 10 miles from a service center. I have not received an invite to configure my R2 yet, but I'm waiting on Borealis anyway.

Picture 2: someone 6'3" doesn't quite fit in back when lying flat, but maybe so if the front seat is pushed as far forward as possible. I did not take a picture of him in the back seat, but even with the front seat all the way back, there were still a few inches of space between the seat back and his knees.
We have a party of eight with six being Rockstars and two in regular cabins. We know our non-RS friends can't join us in the RS line for a show in The Manor (Another Rose), but can we save seats for them once inside? We are planning to book the same tier seating.
I was chopping cucumbers, and Sabine kept tilting her head adorably at the sound, so I tried to get video. Of course that's when she stopped doing it, but then this happened instead.
Also, please don't judge me for pronouncing cucumber that way. I try not to do cutesy baby speak, but that pretty face just brings it out of me. I can't help it.
