Is this brownish residue on my grinder safe, and how should I clean it?

I’ve been into pour-over coffee for less than a year now. I’ve been using this grinder for about 7 months and regularly clean it with a brush after every use.

A few months ago, I started using an atomizer (RDT) before grinding my beans. Recently, I noticed this brownish residue stuck to the grinder.

I have a few questions for the community:

  1. Is this normal and safe?

  2. If not, what’s the best way to clean it off?

  3. Is my current cleaning routine missing something, or is there a better maintenance method I should be using?
