Reversal question

Have any of you gotten a reversal and ended up with a side-to-end ileorectal anastomosis? I had a colostomy due to a perforation from chronic constipation. When they went in and did the reversal (different hospital/surgeon than the original surgery) they saw that I had minimal useable colon so they just attached my small intestine to my rectum. I'm 3 weeks out from surgery and still having like 8 bm's a day. Is this my new forever?? It's not super liquidy like it was the first couple of days after surgery. I only found out at my post op follow up this week that I no longer have a colon. Now I'm thinking I am going to poop every few hours for the rest of my life. Does it ever slow down?!

iOS 26.4.2 broke my iMessage and none of the normal fixes have worked!

When I updated to iOS 26.4.2, my iMessage suddenly stopped working, and all my messages to other iPhones, even within the same cell and wifi network (family) were green texts. I went into the settings and saw that my number had randomly been unchecked (I didn't do it, it happened with the update). I eventually managed to re-check my number after turning iMessage and Facetime off and on a few times, and iMessages would send again. BUT my iMessages started only coming from my email address in all conversations, even though they had all been coming from my number before. Also, at least once a day, my phone would randomly uncheck my number in iMessage and everything would send as a text again.

I've done the normal stuff like turning off/on iMessage and Facetime, and force restarted my phone. But my iMessages continue to come from my email address, and my phone number will periodically uncheck itself in my messages settings.

Google says it could be something with my carrier/network settings. Is this something I need to contact my carrier (T-Mobile) about?

Are other people experiencing PERSISTANT issues like this? I know other people have had iMessage issues, but everything I've seen online says it's just a quick and easy fix of turning iMessage and Facetime off and on. That only seems to work to turn my texts back to iMessages (temporarily), but they still don't come from my number.

Please help??

Hey all. I had a big abdominal surgery (colon resection/colostomy reversal) on friday. When they got in there they found a "huge" incisional hernia down my midline incision from my original resection & colostomy placement ~ 7 months ago. I'm not sure exactly how big it was but the incision runs all the way from just above my pubic bone to just below the notch in my sternum and they said the hernia was along "basically all of it". So, I guess it was not small haha. So I woke up from surgery with the surprise gifts of 2 nasty jp drains coming from my lower belly and a binder for the next several weeks.

It is now like day 5 and I am still in the hospital for another day or 2. I am in the binder they put me in, and it is fine as far as comfort is concerned. I will keep it when I get home. But I obviously need to buy a couple more, especially considering this one has a good amount of dried blood and other nasties on it since they put me in it immediately after surgery. So I figure I will get at least 2 more so thy can be changed out every time I shower or whatever.

Do you all have any recommendations as to the "best" binder I can buy, preferably off amazon since it is quicker? I am a "larger" (5'8" 175lbs, so just big not obese) woman if that matters. It needs to be pretty wide and obviously hopefully comfy.

Also, how long have you all been recommended to wear binders? Everyone I have asked here in the hospital has said something different.

Any other recommendations? The hernia repair was completely unplanned so I have done zero research or preparation.

Thanks and sorry for the length of this!

TLDR; Need recommendations for binders I can buy on amazon, and any other info/recommendations for hernia repair surgery in general

I don't mean to be offensive to anyone here.

But guys, I AM SO EXCITED TO GET RID OF THIS SHIT BAG!

I had a colonoscopy today, and the surgeon said everything looked better than expected and she foresees absolutely no problems. Yay

I have my colostomy because I perforated my colon after a lifetime of constipation, and about 2 months straight of not pooping, 6 months ago. Although I am definitely glad it exists, because I would be dead otherwise, I am not one of the people that absolutely loooves my ostomy or had years of pain prior, etc. I went from normal to ostomy overnight and I wasn't thrilled. For the last 6 months, it's been my whole goal for recovery. Just had to make it to this point. IT'S FINALLY HERE!

So yeah. That's about it. Looking forward to pooping from my rear end. Today after the colonoscopy where they went in from both ways, I had some gas from my bottom because of them blowing a bunch of air in there. It felt so weird. So I'm sure pooping will be even weirder. Surgery said once I can eat, fart, and walk I can be discharged. Pooping not required, but a big bonus. That last bit surprised me a little, but yay I guess.

All the positive vibes for surgery tomorrow please!!
