Ponyo needs to be adopted or Apple Valley Animal Shelter is going to kill him Tuesday morning. Including his shelter card info and a picture of the adoption application. They don’t have an online application so you have to screenshot, fill it out, and email it to animalservices@appleyvalley.orgIncluding their phone number and address in another pic. His animal ID is on his photo. I do not work at the shelter, so please don’t ask me questions about Ponyo. Contact the shelter. There is NO LINK because he is pending euthanasia and they remove them from online once pending. Anyone wanting to pledge, please do so on the Facebook post (in comments) with the others. That is where rescues look.

These two pretty girls were born in the same embryo sack! How much more twinning can you get? If you see one around the house, the other is most likely no farther than 10 feet from them. They used to be impossible to tell apart but it’s fairly easy now. One loves food and eats anything and the other is incredibly picky. Anyone else have twins? If not.. I’d still love to see those cuties!

Just got her last week. Went by car 3 hours just for her.

She looks like a lynx point Siamese . Also she follows me around . She is starting to be vocal and has crossed eyes sometimes. What do you say? She is 6 monthish old and our little baby. I feel like she has ADHD tbh . 😁

I’m saying goodbye to my best friend tomorrow afternoon. He was diagnosed with GI lymphoma two years ago and has been taking chemo (chlorambucil), a liver supplement and a steroid (prednisolone). Recently he was also put on Gabapentin because he’s been largely struggling to walk due to muscle loss and the vet thinks he could be in pain. He also has a heating pad that he loves that eases his discomfort. He used to greet me every time I would come home and the last few months he might greet me once or twice a week. He’s gotten incredibly thin and has been throwing up bile again (something that led to his diagnoses), hasn’t been eating much and has been sleeping under the bed. Normally he hangs out with me whenever I’m home but I have only seen him at night to go to sleep for the most part. He’s been with me since college (I’m 34 now, I was 23 when I adopted him) and has been through all the highs and lows. I adopted him at approx 2 years old and he’s 14 now. He’s my old man and I really don’t know what I’m going to do without him. As others have said, he’s my soul cat and I’m completely in pieces. I made my appointment request for a doctor to come tomorrow at home to say goodbye because I couldn’t bear taking him into a vets office. I want him to be at home and comfortable. I fought back tears to make the appointment and I’m bawling as I write this. I just don’t know what to do with this kind of pain. Aden is my everything and I hate how skinny he’s gotten. He still eats his favorite treats but has eaten them less and less. He barely touches his food now. I know he’s not feeling well and I don’t want to wait until last minute when it all feels unbearable for him. I’m so grateful for the borrowed time I’ve had with him. I’m so bad at goodbyes and I don’t know how I’m going to get through tomorrow. My 2 year old (another adopted kitty), Harry, will be losing his brother tomorrow and I’m not sure how he’ll react without Aden. My heart is breaking all over the place. This feels impossible.

I can’t believe it’s been a year. I got her at 4 weeks old, took her to work with me for 4 weeks and bottle fed her. She is toasting nicely and such a sweet vocal girl who likes to play fetch.

Maggie is officially 3.5 months old, she’s grown so much and has become more confident in herself! We absolutely love her to death, even when she is a little trouble maker 🤭. I’m so thankful that we found each other when we did💗.

He has been getting much more confident and well-behaved on the leash! His favorite things to do outside are smell pee (pics 9 + 10), roll in pee (pic 8), and roll in dirt (pic 7)

I’ve been finding dead lantern flies in my apartment, and now I know why. Any lantern fly that has the misfortune of landing on our balcony rolls the dice on being subjected to torture by Miso’s cute little paws.

She mercilessly prods them to jump with her paw and then pounces on them. If they get tired or play dead, she waits until they start trying to escape and then prods and pounces at them again until they actually die.

I personally prefer a swift, singular stomp but it seems cats really do play with their food and Miso loves her toys.

Disclaimer: she is only allowed on the balcony and does not free-roam. My cats only go outside on a leash or in a carrier.
