What would have changed if Isaac had died in that elevator?

What would have changed if Isaac had died in that elevator?

Let's pretend that the elevator door did not slam back at the necromorph and Isaac was slain right in that spot. Would that be better for the DS universe at all?

We know that in the first game Isaac in the main driver on the events. Without him the most probable course of action is that everybody dies, the Marker stays on the Ishimura and it's air is completely poisoned by the Leviathan in Hydroponics, and then the ship crashes down on Aegis 7, potentially killing the Hive Mind and destroying the Marker.

So, Valor eventually finds Aegis 7, maybe finds evidence of the outbreak, potentially nukes the place for good measure and perhaps retrieves bits and pieces of Marker 3A (or maybe EarthGov sends more forces later to find it).

Does it change anything for better or worse? Could Tiedemann build another Marker on Titan, considering that there were other architects? Does it mean that there's no one to stop Danik later on?

I'm really curious what you guys think.

Max Shippee as corporal Johnston

Just occured to me that Motive should've casted the original Isaac actor as Johnston for the remake. That would be a nice nod of respect to the person who was there at the very beginning of the journey.

Plus, they look somewhat similar :D

Just a random thought to keep the subreddit going.
What would be your fan casting choice? For Johnston or any other character in the series.
