SIDEMEN AMONG US TIER LIST (with comments)

Been meaning to make this forever and finally took the time to do it. This is my unbiased opinion after watching nearly all of their 100+ Among Us videos. Been a fan of this lot for over a decade and I really love this series, they struck gold and I hope it never dies. Idc if ya'll think I got too much time on my hands, this took like an hour and was fun to make lol. Show some love if you agree/disagree, let me hear your thoughts!!!

A few disclaimers before I continue:

- I only included players that have played 15 or more games since the inception of this series using the infamous Among Us stat sheet (the highest being Josh, lowest being Milk)

- The rankings aren in order within tiers and were decided based on my assessment of 3 categories: Gameplay Skill, Solo Entertainment, and Group Vibe with Gameplay Skill being the heaviest factor. Gameplay skill is self explanatory while the other two categories are just how well they can entertain the viewers during games by themselves on camera or as part of the group dynamic. Of course some players have aspects about them that make up for it.

- I've included the ratings/breakdown below. ENJOY!

PLAYER RATINGS BREAKDOWN
Simon S tier gameplay. S tier solo entertainer. S tier group vibe. Hate to sound like I'm glazing but the game was really made for him. Elite in all roles, master manipulator/marinater. Frequently causes paranoia. Sometimes takes over discussions.
Lazarbeam S tier gameplay. S tier solo entertainer. A tier group vibe. IMO the second best player. Elite crewmate and impostor. Arguably the best content source. Only rated A tier for group vibe because his crash outs don't always fit the sidemen mood.
Vik A tier gameplay. S tier solo entertainer. S tier group vibe. Elite impostor. Near elite crewmate, just sometimes overthinks and is completely wrong or takes over discussions. Great solo entertainer who talks through his gameplay.
Viz S tier gameplay. C tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Top 4 player IMO. Elite crewmate and impostor. Comfort character in the lobby personally, just lacks true content excitement.
Josh B tier gameplay. S tier solo entertainer. S tier group vibe. Pretty great crewmate, fallen off heavily as an impostor. Overall one of the best vibes to have in lobbies, with Josh there's certain security in the lobby.
MilkInABag S tier gameplay. D tier solo entertainer. C tier group vibe. Elite player as either crewmate or impostor, had some funny/smart moments like using AI in a match but not much else, hasn't been around in years.
Ellum B tier gameplay. D tier solo entertainer. C tier group vibe. Overall above average crewmate/impostor with some funny/smart moments in past. Used to be a comforting guest in lobbies but relationship with the sidemen is no longer existent.
Deji B tier gameplay. S tier solo entertainer. S tier group vibe. Used to be horrendous, but since figuring out the game is an underratedly good crewmate and impostor. Has quite a few big brain plays, not always amazing content but elite group fit.
JJ B tier gameplay. A tier solo entertainer. S tier group vibe. Bad crewmate, often really good/underrated impostor, but is also so bait. Usually great for content (even when he's asleep), lobbies without him aren't quite the same.
Harry C tier gameplay. A tier solo entertainer. S tier group vibe. Wildcard, but always a comforting presence in the lobby. Regardless of role he either makes big brained plays or is a complete moron, there's no in between. Elite content machine.
Ginge B tier gameplay. A tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Underrated as both a crewmate and impostor, having great intuition in both. Elite content source with many memorable solo entertainment moments. Great fit with the guys.
George Clarkey C tier gameplay. B tier solo entertainer. A tier group vibe. Below average impostor but decent crewmate. George definitely is a pure content and great synergy guy. Getting to watch him on screen is a joy.
DannyAarons C tier gameplay. C tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Similar to Harry where he is one extreme or the other, just with immensely less personality and charm. Underrated impostor. When he's not being annoying he can be an enjoyable watch.
Ethan C tier gameplay. A tier solo entertainer. S tier group vibe. Average impostor. Relatively horrible crewmate. King of third impostoring, but is a goldmine for great content in lobbies.
Randolph D tier gameplay. B tier solo entertainer. A tier group vibe. Below average crewmate and impostor, but another guy who is a comfort character in lobbies. Usually just a fun vibe with tons of great content moments over the years.
JME D tier gameplay. D tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Horrible crewmate intuition, but pretty good impostor. I wouldn't say there's too many memorable moments from him but his strenth is elevating the energy of lobbies.
Lachlan D tier gameplay. B tier solo entertainer. A tier group vibe. Very good for sourcing content, great group guy but the man just has so much negative IQ as both crewmate and impostor.
Tobi C tier gameplay. B tier solo entertainer. A tier group vibe. Average crewmate, average impostor but often dies quick. He definitely does get overlooked/undervalued in discussions but he also doesn't care a lot for the game.
MaxFosh C tier game play. C tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Another guy who is great for the group dynamic, but not too many memorable moments aside from a few wins.
JackSucksAtLife C tier gameplay. B tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Average crewmate, below average impostor. He can be slow on the sticks but I have been enjoying watching him break into the group dynamic a lot, he can be smart and funny.
ChrisMD F tier gameplay. A tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. One of the worst players skill wise but one of the only few non-sidemen players with elite solo entertainment whether with his commentary or jokes.
Callux D tier gameplay. C tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Pretty bad crewmate, pretty bad impostor. More of a comfort/synergy guest for me but is usually just a chill middling player.
Theo D tier gameplay. D tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Not too many memorable moments aside from PAUL. Pretty intuitive crewmate, unmemorable impostor. Carries great synergy with the boys though.
Calfreezy C tier gameplay. D tier solo entertainer. B tier group vibe. Gets a lot of hate, but has had great moments. He's not completely aloof and will actually talk out his gameplay but pretty mid at most roles. I always like him in the dynamic though.
ArthurTV C tier gameplay. D tier solo entertainer. C tier group vibe. He gets a LOT of hate but decent crewmate actually. Doesn't ever really know what's going on in game, but I think his general intuition saves him. Overthinks immensely.
AB C tier gameplay. B tier solo entertainer. C tier group vibe. For someone who watches all their games, he can be pretty lost. Has had some terrible luck in the lobbies as impostor, but carries pretty good crewmate intuition.
PieFace D tier gameplay. F tier solo entertainer. F tier group vibe. Horrible crewmate and impostor. Never convincing in discussions. Nice guy but definitely a filler player.
Chip F tier gameplay. C tier solo entertainer. C tier group vibe. Pretty bad crewmate, pretty bad impostor. As much as I like Chip in other content, he's clearly a filler player in Among Us lobbies.
WillNE F tier gameplay. F tier solo entertainer. F tier group vibe. IMO worst player ever featured in their lobbies. Horrible as any role, is always confused, never can make an argument. Watching him play pisses me off. Love ya though Will.

Which should I get?

Been looking for a neutral color shoe and been obsessed with Puma's silhouettes recently. I'm looking to get my first pair, but I don't want the Speedcat. I'm looking to get one pair of the following:

  1. Puma Future Cat studs
  2. Puma VS-1
  3. Puma VS-1 Contact
  4. Puma x NFS Beisser

Which do y'all like the most or would get? I'm leaning towards 1 or 3.

This seems pretty illogical.

First off, it does seem real. Second, I get that JJ said he "won't be appearing in sidemen videos anymore" while the title of his video said he's leaving the sidemen. Those are two different things imo. What it seems like is he likely just won't be involved in any part of the sidemen content anymore whether it's on- or off-camera. I think he'll still be involved in the business side of it.

That being said, none of this seems logical at all. The fact that the boys said "this came as a surprise" when a departure like this would likely likely EITHER be pre-planned or COMPLETELY sudden... Not this in between vibe that we're seeing here.

But more importantly, his reasoning doesn't really add up:
- The Sidemen portion of his career has been the MOST forgiving and flexible of his commitments throughout his years of branching out.
- Logically, he could have cut out literally any other commitment first.
- I understand wanting to see your family more, but realistically you can do that while taking a break and not leaving the group.
- He doesn't box anymore.
- Music is not a time commitment.
- You don't have to be a part of even the majority of sidemen videos, you've already been MIA for 50% of their content for years.
- And honestly, the Sidemen area arguably re-peaking right now with some of the content they've been putting out between TV deals, exit strategy, football events, collabs with other YouTubers etc.

This just seems pretty illogical. I think JJ leaving is largely fueled by him wanting to establish his own brand with his new style of videos on his channel. I'm just hoping nothing personal happened between the boys that would've caused this.
