I'm posting this to try and lighten the mood on the sub. I'm embarrassed by it because it was my first attempt at animating a sprite, and the result turned out like crap XD. It also fell well short of the other Murassamas.
Basically, everything there was completely disorganized and ran on pure “trust me” vibes. He’s chilling playing Beat Saber because he knows absolutely nothing is going to happen to him. He stole the money and he’s just going to get away with it. If this whole thing had been handled with the seriousness it deserved, if Big Ozz had stolen the money the way he did, he would be going to jail. The developers have every ability to hand the project over to other devs if they wanted to, without any real risk of the project getting twisted or turning into a completely different mod. They could show the planned content and stay nearby without being fully involved.
There are people who genuinely think XqC would be the leader dictating how the project goes, instead of just the guy sitting far away throwing money at the developers.
Removing assets is unprofessional and a heat-of-the-moment decision, because it only hurts the players and not the actual people responsible.
(MY OPINION based on reason and looking at every side, you are free to disagree: The assets belong to the devs and they can do whatever they want with them. They want to distance themselves from the project. But even if they remove them, all those songs and sprites are still tied to Calamity because they were made for Calamity. Deleting the assets doesn’t magically erase the devs’ involvement with the project. It’s possible to step away without wiping everything. Dokuro did that in the past and after a while people stopped bothering him. By removing the music the insults are going to come back, and they’re going to come back a lot worse. The general feeling from the public’s POV is that they’re being unfairly punished for something they didn’t do. If the removal wasn’t happening, nobody would be cursing out the devs. Removing the assets just shifts attention away from the real targets of the anger, which are Ozzatron and Fabsol.)
Whenever this message appears to me when I'm entering a world, instead of playing I find myself daydreaming and remembering so many bad things I've already been through and that over time I learned to overcome, so many things that have already disappointed me but that over time I learned to forgive, whether it's grief, or people or places that disappoint you.
Re-Logic will not intervene.
No one is going to buy Calamity.
It's not possible to join the dev team to try to continue the project.

All that’s left for us to do is let time do its work so that maybe, JUST MAYBE, the devs feel in their hearts the decision to give a second chance to this incredible project that we all love. Look at what happened with Ancients Awakened (okay, their drama was smaller) but they also lost their mod, yet years later many of the devs decided to give it a second chance because they loved the project, and look, the mod is more alive than ever in its entire existence, and preparing a massive update for both AA Classic and the AA Remake.
Thank you if you read this to the end, maybe this won't reach the devs since the subreddit is a place they consider controversial, but if it does, know that your mod saved me at a certain moment in my life, I am eternally grateful for all the content and all the Lore in the game that you created. I loved telling people in the communities I was part of about the mod's lore, I loved helping people by telling them what they should use against the bosses, I loved talking about the things that happened to me in my playthroughs, all of that for days on end without getting tired because it was my addiction... your work gave me epic and disastrous moments, moments that I will carry with me forever ❤. And thank you also to you 🫵 who are not a dev and are reading this message, because it means you are from the community, and the community (at least the non-toxic part of it) created fanarts, music, and builds in the game that were incredible to follow and collect. I have a SoundCloud account with over 400 songs, all related to Terraria, and a folder with countless arts that the community created for me to keep looking at or using as wallpaper. I collected them as if it were a sticker album. A large part of why this mod was incredible was because of the community.
If you (or any other dev) are reading this, I suggest shutting down any chat or similar platform that allows the community to talk to the devs about anything other than strictly game-related questions. Given the absurd number of groomers and toxic individuals, it has been proven that there SHOULD NOT be an official community or Discord chat for general community interaction. Major YouTubers don't interact directly with their audiences for a reason: it protects not only the community but also the creators themselves from any misinterpretation. Stick to channels for announcements, changelogs, and bug reports only.
