Should I feel bad about commenting my app everywhere?

Just a rant I guess

As a new app developer, I am constantly looking for ways for distribution. Of course, reddit is one way. As soon as someone asks about an app preference in some subreddit, I reach there out of the blue and poop my app name there.

At the end of the day, every reddit post turns to look like an app listing. It's just noise building up in the reddit database!

I'm not a sales person or a marketing person. But I am made to believe this works. People say you shouldn't shy away from putting your word out. But this just looks bad sometimes.

Is there a group where I can refer people for jobs?

I have a network of people from tech with job role like devs, QAs, customer success etc. I would like to refer them for jobs anywhere in Pune. I was wondering if there's any whatsapp group for this. These are the people I have worked with or have mutual connections.

Do you use any project management tool for personal projects or freelancing projects?

I have done a lot of personal projects or some projects with one or two friends which were not that successful. Slack has always been our go-to communication tool. We had tried Trello for us but I am not fan of its UI. It's a great tool, no doubt there. But it just feels like a list of cards without any structure. I have never tried Jira for those projects, always felt overkill. I don't hate Jira. We use it at my workplace. It gets the job done for the big org. I am using another tool for past few months.

For each group, there is an account. And I have created my individual projects in my personal account. Each project can have multiple workstreams. So i have 1 or 2 workstreams for each project. For eg., if I am working on an app, one workstream would be development and one workstream would be marketing/content etc. Is this the best way to do it? Or is this an overkill? The app allows to create docs too. But I am not sure if I should have my docs in the same app. But then it becomes difficult to organise personal and work related docs in my personal google drive.

Wanted to know how everyone else is doing this. Specially for individual or max 3 people projects. Do you manage things in Excel or Sheets?

Should I take a top-up now for future downpayment?

I have a home loan and a bigger emi personal loan. I am planning to take a topup to pay off my personal loan so that I get low emi on the topup.

I don't stay in the home for which I have taken home loan. My parents stay there in a different city. So in few years (may or may not be next year), we may plan to buy a home in the city where I currently stay. So I was thinking that I can include a portion of the down payment amount in the top-up now itself.

In worst case though, if we don't buy a home, the topup would go waste and would be a loss.

What should I do?

Axis Bank Bajaj Life term insurance vs direct Bajaj term life insurance

I am 31M and planning to buy a term insurance.

I approached my relationship manager from Axis Bank to get some quotation. I prefer this way because the relationship manager generally helps me when I need loans and she is generally proactive on letting me know new offers related to loans, credit cards and other things.

So, when I enquired about term insurance, I got to know that Axis Bank is actually selling Bajaj Life insurance (they have partnered with them). I have a bajaj life agent in my family (my mother). So I thought to get some quotations from them. They arranged a call with some senior who told me about plans.

I prefer Axis Bank because it is my primary bank and it is handy. For Bajaj Life directly, I don't know how much I can trust my family to help with the process. They don't to this as full time job. They had me connected to a senior to get details which means they weren't up to date. And when I told my mother I wanted to get term insurance, it took her a day to get me the contact number itself (of the senior). But, on the other hand, since they are family, the commission would come at home.

Would be really helpful to get some perspective and more information that I should consider.
