Does anybody know anything about this abandoned car in Erandwane?

I was visiting a friend this week and found this old abandoned car near Nal Stop Metro Station in Erandwane. It got me really curious, so I started digging into it.

With help from Reddit car enthusiasts, the car appears to be a Ford Falcon XA 500 wagon from the 1970s.

What makes this weird is:

• The XA Falcon was mainly sold in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa

• India had very strict import restrictions before 1991

• It has a Pune registration plate

• It has clearly been abandoned for a VERY long time

Some interesting things:

• I found a 2012 article/photo showing the car already sitting there in almost the same condition

• Some of the original model letters are missing

• Number plate is still intact

• There are multiple other abandoned old vehicles nearby too, including old Premier Padminis and a Jeep

I’m extremely curious how this car even ended up in Pune and why it has been abandoned for so long.

Does anyone know:

• the history of this car

• whether it was ever seen running in Pune

• or any old stories related to it?

Would love to know more.

Main pagal ho chuka hoon!!!

For a week, I tried a new Amul product every day that I had never tried before.

  1. Amul 2x Chocolate Cornetto: 7/10

Nice if you’re bored of Amul’s regular chocolate Cornettos.

Good for a one-time try, but it’s kinda too sweet after a point.

  1. Almond Bar: 8/10

Really good taste and texture. Nice amount of almonds used too. Feels pretty unique overall.

But again, it’s a tad bit too sweet for me personally.

Still, I’d definitely suggest giving it a try because most people will probably like it.

  1. Amul Blueberry Protein Shake: 9/10

Tastes pretty similar to their blueberry yogurt.

No added sugar: good

20g protein: good

Actually tastes good too.

So overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s not a dessert drink, but a genuinely tasty protein drink.

  1. Indian Arabica Latte: 5.5/10

I'm no expert in coffee, but it felt like i am drinking watered down version of my normal nescafe coffee.

Not at all worth Rs.100

  1. Vanilla Smoothie: 5/10

Had a weird chemical-like aftertaste and overall felt kinda cheap.

Wouldn’t recommend it honestly. You’re better off just melting vanilla ice cream and drinking that instead. Probably tastes better too.

  1. Amul Chocolate Cookies: 8.5/10

As you might’ve already seen from other posts on this sub, it absolutely live up to the hype

  1. Blueberry Yogurt: 9.5/10

Absolutely goated🫡

Awesome taste, good texture, lots of blueberries and at a very affordable price (just Rs.30)

I’ve had Epigamia’s (₹70 iirc) and Milky Mist’s (around ₹40) blueberry yogurt before, but Amul easily tops both of them

  1. Amul Dark Chocolate: 10/10

I’ve had the bigger version hundreds of times before, but this smaller one honestly makes perfect sense.

Same exact chocolate, same great taste, but the size is what makes it special. Small enough that you don’t overeat, but not so small that it leaves your cravings unsatisfied.

Feels weirdly satisfying for just ₹10.

  1. Falooda Ice Cream: 10/10

Probably the best Amul ice cream I’ve ever had.

Loads of dry fruits, a good amount of vermicelli, and an incredible taste overall.

Absolute must try!

What should I try next?

Someone here recommended Dark Passion to me earlier, but I genuinely can’t find it anywhere.

Strange Invigilation Today...... (Image Unrelated:(

A weird thing happened today during the costing paper.

Some context: our exam hall had 3 blocks and 3 invigilators.

The instructions clearly say that the question paper must be distributed at 1:45 sharp, but today they started distributing it around 1:34.

But not to everyone.

Only 2 blocks got the papers early. My block didn’t get them.

When a student asked the invigilator about it, they said, “You will get it at 1:45 as per rules.”

So then why were the others given earlier?

And the strangest part was that all of this happened without any chaos at all. It just felt odd seeing students sitting in the same classroom getting question papers at different times.

I didn’t really mind it though, because I got mine on time (1:45), so no complaints there. It just felt off.

Also, kudos to that one student who got the paper early but still didn’t open it till 1:45. He easily could have opened it like the rest of the students, but he chose not to.

Btw, I don’t even know why I’m posting this. Not like I’m getting anything out of it.
