Picking up my first machine Saturday. What should I know? Domestic 264R

I've wanted a sewing machine for a long time (especially since my grandma was a seamstress) and decided I would go with something vintage (I've read that newer ones aren't built to the same quality). Found this one on marketplace for $100. How'd I do? What should I know?

Am I (32M) being unreasonable about my girlfriend's (33F) remarks about my pain post surgery?

I (32M) have been with my girlfriend (33F) 7ish months.

I had back surgery 7/7. Have had some pain (as expected) and then have had orthostatic headaches that began about 2 weeks ago. My girlfriend has been teasing me about the pain. She admitted today wasn't sure if I was actually in pain or was being dramatic to get attention from her. She maintains the position that women are more tolerant to pain. She said she spoke to other female friends and family and they said I was probably being dramatic as, "men are dramatic when it comes to pain."

She also says I may be autistic (I've long suspected I may mildly be so). She is a school psychologist. She said she used to dealing with these things at work, but has never done so in a relationship. She knows I don't like to be rubbed for an extended period of time and I don't cuddle for more than 15-30 minutes. She also knows I have an aversion to certain sounds and textures. She said she is trying to be accommodating but she isn't used to it. I told her she was being loud (literally volume wise) last weekend when she was face timing a friend at a restaurant. Tonight, I drove to her place and got stuck in traffic. What normally takes ~1 hour ended up taking me about 1hr 45m. I told her on the phone that I was hurting quite a bit from the drive and that I would also need a little time to decompress once I got there. Shortly after I got to her place, her dog began barking extremely loudly, which wasn't helping my headache. Normally he is fine (although loud), but tonight it was just too much so I plugged me ears which prompted her to let him outside. After our dogs came back in, they got some doggy icecream. The sound of them licking was driving me nuts, so plugged my ears again. She said, "that's just the sound they make." I told that I knew that and it was okay, it was just overstimulating at the moment.

This prompted her to bring up the aforementioned pain remarks and the autism comments. She herself was speaking very loudly and I asked her if she could be a touch quieter. She said that's just who she is and I'm the first person to ever tell her she is loud - that most people love her high energy. I said she is always loud and I don't love her any less for it, I just need her to bring the volume down a touch at the moment as I'm still overstimulated from the drive down.

I also told her I don't tell her about the pain 90% of the time and that I will now withhold the other 10% she has heard about.

Thoughts?
