Hi all, wondering why most hotels are booked the first week of October? The only remaining ones are mostly expensive ($500+ per night) or have questionable reviews.

Any suggestions of safe but central hotel locations to stay? That will be open from October 4-11 and $300 or under per night?

Would staying on the left bank be a better bet?

Edit- when referring to $ I mean USD as I am using American websites like Expedia to book which shows prices in USD
Also many hotels have reviews of theft or bed bugs that’s what I’m most worried about
