Owe 48k during readjustment
In 2025 I owed ~48k in taxes. I paid this amount off in full but later found out I had made a mistake on my taxes. I used the CRA website to file a change to my taxes. This morning I got a new message from the CRA that said I owed them 48k in taxes which is what I originally paid. I verified that the CRA received my original tax payment so this isn't due to my original owing. CRA website shows that my adjustment is still in progress but this is very scary since I can't afford to pay another 48k.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Is this a mistake? Should I just keep waiting for the readjustment to complete or do I need to call them?
Edit: To give more information, no my change that I filed is not expected to change my amount owing. If anything it should result in a refund.
