Renting a car at a local Enterprise in my neighborhood in NYC and traveling upstate for a weekend. I currently have no health insurance and no personal auto insurance, and I'm unsure if there's any sort of personal injury protection (PIP) that I can purchase, or which is already included by the state?

When I made the booking online, I didn't see get any option to purchase a separate PIP plan, and my research online makes it sound like all cars on the road including rental cars _should_ come with some kind of minimum coverage but it's unclear if that includes any kind of coverage for me were I to incur any kind of medical bills.
