Any interest in a PNW Spark meetup? "Sparkup?"
We could meet somewhere central (Vancouver/Portland) and get Sparkys from WA/OR together to just hang out, or we could crash a muscle car meetup and act like we belong. ;-)

I've recently reaquired my 2014 Spark. I gave it to my nephew a couple years ago, he doesn't need it anymore, so now I'm going to give it to my mom for use as a summer car to keep up north all year so she can stop driving from the desert southwest to the Pacific Northwest every year.
Before I gave the car to my nephew, I replaced the transmission 500 miles before the warranty expired. He's put 10k miles on it, and I heard that it was a good idea to service the transmission around this point to clear out the initial shavings from a new transmission.
From reading in this Sub, I thought the preferred service was a drain and fill with filter replacement and magnet cleaning, but the dealership near my mom is pushing a FLUSH, and they say it doesn't come with a filter replacement because that's internal and unaccessible.
second question: what's the correct procedure, drain and fill or a flush?
Where is a good place to get it done? Can a place like Valvoline do it or does it need to be done by a stealership
