Hello all, and welcome to the new subreddit for the newly announced Genshin Impact character, Alyosha!

Consider this a small act of rebellion.

I’m well aware that there is a large power mod group who immediately claim the names of revealed or even leaked characters across gacha communities… and honestly, it doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t think it’s right for a small circle of people to completely monopolize fandom spaces, control multiple subreddits, and potentially shape or influence public opinion. Fandom spaces shouldn’t feel like they’re all governed by the same distant authority.

So, I decided to make this subreddit. I know it may not grow as big. I don’t have connections, and I likely won’t be able to partner with other subs, since they tend to collaborate within their own circles, a bit of a members-only club, or as they might say in Snezhnaya, one hand washes the other.

Still, I think it’s a good attempt to give some of that power back to the community.

I’ll be upfront: I don’t have extensive moderation experience, but I am dedicated, paying attention, and fully determined to make this a space that’s fair, open, and enjoyable to be in. Think “free territory,” not “no-rules wasteland”, so don’t get any funny ideas.

So yeah, welcome to everyone who feels the same way! Here we are at our little outpost, founded by an absolute nobody with a bit too much free time.
