Can I get free shipping on industrial machinery components online?

Recently I've been thinking about ordering industrial machinery parts online and I'm interested to know if free shipping is quite common even for bigger and heavier orders. I know the big players like Alibaba, Made-in-China, and even some smaller marketplaces sometimes have shipping promotions; Still, I doubt the suitability and truthfulness of such promotions with industrial and wholesale large component supply. Are suppliers including shipping fees in their product prices most of the time? Or are there some that offer real free shipping on particular orders? Aside from those things, there are ads that show free shipping but they only refer to specific countries or ports. Just interested in hearing from people who have done it before.

How do hybrid water heaters compare to traditional electric models in terms of cost?

I did some research on hybrid water heaters a few months back when our electric bill was increasing and I was quite surprised at the cost difference for hybrid vs. electric. The initial cost factor for the hybrids is considerable, but seem to neglect the long term savings on the electric bill. A friend of mine just switched over in 2008 and told me that on the next few bills the savings was noticeable. So in the end I had a little comparison of loads of alternatives on the net. I actually even looked at suppliers on Alibaba just to get a rough idea on prices/features. Standard electric heaters are cheaper to purchase and simpler to install which makes them attractive if you're only going to be in the house a few years. Hybrids seem more suitable long term. The noise level isn’t what I expected, the good thing is it's not that loud. The equipment maintenance appears to be about the same but, maybe with hybrid systems, slightly better maintenance specifications are available if needed.

What accessories are needed for a new lab centrifuge setup?

It seems easy to set up a new lab centrifuge, until you actually go to set up a work station and you find there are many accessories that are quite helpful in making things easier and safer to use on a daily basis. So in the last week I had been assisting in setting up a small testing area, I'm interested to find out what other people think is a "must-have" for equipment outside of the centrifuge that is. Some suppliers for instance sell "kits" that include the suggested accessories, while others stock all accessories individually. The first point I noted was that extra rotor options seem to be recommended, Mostly if you generally have a number of different sample sizes in your lab. Tube adapters seem to be quite a substantial thing too. Not all of the experiments would have the same tube size. A couple of people I consulted also expressed the opinion that it would be wise to get a good balancing kit early on as this can turn into a serious issue fairly rapidly when the centrifuge is used routinely. While looking through a few equipment listings tied to some Alibaba suppliers, I found many more add ons available, like replacement lids, cool down attachments and storage racks. It really struck me how these setups can be built quite adaptively for different types of lab work. Another accessory that I keep seeing all over the place is a UPS or a backup power source.

What accessories do I need for my new pellet smoker grill?

I just got my new pellet smoker grill yesterday and am trying to work out what accessories are really worth buying. Have read a load of ideas online but would prefer to get ideas from those who use a pellet grill day in, day out. I was thinking of a quality digital meat thermometer, heat-proof gloves, barbecue cover, drip pan liners and maybe a smoke tube for more pellets from time to time. Have been looking on Alibaba but getting the different brands and prices mixed up in my mind. If any of you have a pellet grill, what accessories proved most useful and what can you do without? Keep it straightforward and functional in the start. I would really appreciate some honest suggestions from those who have tried the routine out with their pellet grill. Thanks in advance, looking forward to some info..

Are there any discounts on aircraft seat covers this season?

I have been loosely researching aircraft seat covers this season as I am trying to get a picture of how prices generally fluctuate for aviation-related equipment and it is surprising to see how varying the discounts are. Some suppliers appear to be marketing seasonal deals, whereas others maintain a regular pricing structure as whether the material and certification is A.B. (Air Bus) approved or not. I have been conducting some general research by looking at various prices online including searching on Alibaba just to get an estimate of bulk pricing against individual retail clients. What I find interesting is that no matter what discounts there are, certain categories will not change in price like fire retardant and leather covers being more expensive, and generic synthetic covers when selling as certain items or end of shelf. Secondly, from a marketing point of view, timing seems to be very strategic; some take about lower prices at end of quarter sales or during changeover sales from old to new covers. Am still trying to get my head round whether there is some kind of seasonal pattern, or whether different suppliers will fluctuate a lot. If people come from an aviation parts, or procurement background, do you wait to buy at certain times of the year, or purchase seat covers 'cold', and negotiate when buying?

How does a hydraulic press compare to a mechanical press in terms of cost and performance?

I've been researching the actual differences between hydraulic presses and mechanical presses, mainly for costs over their life-time of operation and the overall performance of each. From what I have read so far it seems hydraulic presses are more adaptable and more capable at jobs requiring constant load, but a mechanical press would be far quicker for mass production. I was viewing a few suppliers, including those on Alibaba, and the price ranges were quite variable depending upon the machine type and specification. I was interested as to the cost/time saving advantages based on the operating speed. Would a hydraulic press with a slow operating speed be a major drawback, or would the detailed and extensive possible options compensate? Which one proved to be more financially viable in practiced production work for both who have used both? I prefer to hear in attempted practical works instead of simply users reading manufacturers descriptions.

Where can I find eco-friendly and non-toxic crib mobiles online?

I've been looking for some natural, nontoxic crib mobiles to buy and I'd love to hear recommendations on where people are finding them online. I'm interested in ones made of natural materials (wood felt cotton, etc.) because I want to keep the nursery simple and as low-toxin as possible. I've gone to a few independent baby boutiques and looked at a few sites selling supplies on Alibaba just for different styles and to see the quality from the pictures. Though, I would need real experiences of an actual product before I could consider ordering. I am interested in mobiles that are durable over time and are not fragrant with intense chemicals when they arrive. If you have purchased an eco-friendly crib mobile online, I would love to know where from (honestly) and would you recommend it after using it for a while.

Where can I find affordable replacement parts for old tape deck models?

I've recently been getting back into my old tape decks and cassette players and one of the things I wasn't prepared for was how difficult it could be to find cheaper replacement parts for older gear. Belts, pinch rollers, control knobs and small internal bits and pieces just don't seem as easy to find anymore unless you know exactly where to search. I've looked through some online auction sites and I've even had a quick look on Alibaba to see which vintage electronic parts merchants are still trading. What I really want to know is where would be the usual places to get this stuff if you're a seasoned collector or a repair hobbyist? Would you normally go to a high-fidelity audio shop, run of the mill electronics store or randomly search till you find something that will do? I have read where people have bought complete donor units for spare parts and that is actually very clever.

I would really like someone to say what has worked for them because I am just trying to resurrect a couple of old decks without investing any more in the parts than the decks themselves are worth.

Which brands offer eco-friendly options for trophies and plaques?

^(I have been further looking into eco-friendly awards & plaques, and suppliers seem to be moving in the direction of a wide diversity and less reliance on one main supplier. Rather than one " functionary" supplier, the utmost of these are custom-made awards companies who employ eco-friendly materials like bamboo, reclaimed wood, recycled glass, and" low impact" paintings. For instance, producers mentioned most frequently include FineAwards and EDCO Awards who carry bamboo plaques and recycled material trophies as their standard lineup. Other high-end manufacturers like Society Awards exhibit more sustainable production techniques in custom awards work, mainly to corporate/party clients. I even double-checked on Alibaba to look at the bulk trophy and plaque listings, and I found it pretty notable how many companies now advertise "eco" or "bamboo" options, even though the materials and finishing quality really runs the spectrum quite a bit based on the manufacturer. This definitely seems more like a test in selecting vendors than in branding. Most buyers of eco awards, those who aren't led by a particular designer would find that it isn't just one manufacturer that can offer them (or at least work with them to create) environmentally sustainable awards, but a combination of custom and volume suppliers responding to an increasing consumer interest in eco-friendly products.)

Which brands offer the most stylish and modern woven baskets?

I have been testing woven baskets recently mainly for storehouse and home landscape, and I didn't expect there would be corresponding heaps of diverse patterns and brands focused on ultramodern feeling. Many of the newer baskets have a more minimal, Scandinavian aspect to them: sharp forms, neutral colors, and tighter weaving that could instead be decorative accents. Others that are quite popular for more contemporary woven styles are IKEA, West Elm, and CB2.

They usually stick to a clean, consistent designer look if you are trying to match with a particular room style. I even browsed Alibaba to see some bulk woven basket listings and it's quite revealing how many of the "modern" designs look identical to other vendors, just with a slight difference in weave, handles or blends.

To anyone who's purchased these previously, do you always opt for the branded retail listings for quality or can you get bulk style listings that are just as good if you pick carefully?

Which brands offer durable labeling machines for harsh environments?

I've been researching hardware labelling machines lately, Most of all from the point of view of needing bones that are 'hardware', that can handle environments like dust, humidity or even constant co-line use. Depending on the brand and manufacturing quality, there seem to be a number of possibilities.

Brands like Toshiba TEC Corporation, Zebra Technologies, and Brother Diligence are often cited by certain artificial druggies as having more consistent performance in difficult environments, particularly when reliability is important for extended shifts. What I observed is that continuity is less so to the branding alone but also to effects like sealing, print head and machine stability suitable for long time non-stop production without misalignment and overheating. I also collected piece information at Alibaba to compare different labels manufacturing machines.

What brand character, conservation frequency, or particular figure qualities like covering and print continuity end up meaning more in actual use for anyone who has worked with these machines?
