I’m struggling to program a charging schedule. My off peak hours are from 9 pm to 4 pm the next day and I want to exclude charging between 4 pm and 9 pm. It fails to create the schedule every time I try. Is it because it bridges two days? Anyone have success in setting up overnight charging?

Got my new Woodland Premium last week and drove 985 miles this weekend for college graduation. Prior car was a 2025 RAV4 XSE Limited Hybrid.

Range: I have the all season tires so no penalty for the beefier set of threads. Overall it was good and I stopped every 120-150 miles. Zero issues.

Time: this trip took 45 minutes more than usual. Negligible because I also met my 10,000 step goal during charges.

Planning: I used several apps to plan the route. ABRP was a disaster for me. The app would not connect to the car so I had to manually update the battery level and twice it tried to send me to Tesla Only chargers when that was specifically excluded. The UI is an atrocity. PlugShare worked very well. I wish Apple Maps would integrate charging stations instead of just gas stations.

Driving: far more relaxed than in an ICE car. I used all assists and cruised between 80 and 85 with AC on the whole way.

Results: 3.4 mi/kWh average aka 115 mpg equivalent. Total cost $150.64 at public chargers (I did buy the Tesla membership so $163.63). RAV4 used to get 33 mpg on the same trip and at today’s prices would have cost $174 using average prices at Costco and Pilot.

This country needs to build the infrastructure to support EV charging. So many stations are in lots away from any and all conveniences. Looking at Lebec where there are 25 or so chargers and an upscale Porta potty. If someone built a convenience/coffee store there, they’d make a killing.

Apps need to be updated to route you to and advertise charging locations.

Totally happy with the switch and never going back.

So I have a new Woodland and love it. Just did a 900 mile roadtrip and all went well. I live in the mountains and have a steep driveway. When you put the car in reverse, with brake hold assist engaged, it will roll forward and downhill as soon as you take your foot of the brake. I’ve notified Toyota and urge anyone to validate this for themselves.
