[Crimson Desert] Royal Trading Posts Explained: Weekly Midnight Reset & Why They Stay Open – Golden Merchant Trophy Guide
Title: [Crimson Desert] Royal Trading Posts SOLVED – Weekly Midnight Rotation, Delivery Quantities & Golden Merchant Trophy
After spending a lot of time trying to complete the Golden Merchant trophy, I finally earned the Crimson Desert Platinum Trophy (100%)!
I want to share two important discoveries from my own gameplay that may help other players struggling with Royal Trading Posts.
- Royal Trading Posts follow a weekly midnight cycle
From my testing, the Royal Trading Post rotation changes every 7 in-game days at 12:00 AM (midnight).
Here are my recorded results:
Royal Trading Post| In-Game Day| Recorded Time| Result Demeniss| 237| 12:03 PM| Delivery completed Delesyia| 258| 12:12 AM| Delivery completed Hernand| 265| 12:07 AM| Delivery completed Varnia| 272| 12:07 AM| Delivery completed
Delesyia, Hernand, and Varnia became available exactly 7 in-game days apart, shortly after midnight.
Important clarification about Demeniss
The 12:03 PM timestamp for Demeniss was my delivery time, not its confirmed opening time.
I had slept and advanced time by 12 hours, then went directly to the nearby Royal Trading Post without checking whether it had opened earlier.
Demeniss may also have opened at midnight, but I cannot confirm that from my observation.
My conclusion: Royal Trading Posts operate on a weekly cycle, with the rotation occurring when the in-game date changes at midnight.
I cannot confirm whether the order of cities is fixed or randomized across different save files.
- Why a Royal Trading Post may stay open after delivery
This was my biggest discovery.
After completing a delivery in Hernand, the Royal Trading Post remained open for several in-game days.
I even completed another delivery, but it still stayed open.
At first, I thought the system was bugged.
However, I reloaded an earlier save and discovered the reason:
Hernand required a total delivery quantity of approximately 130 units.
I had only delivered part of the requested quantity.
The trading post remained open because the full order had not been completed.
The other Royal Trading Posts closed after my deliveries, although I didn't record their exact required quantities.
Important: Check the total required quantity before assuming your Royal Trading Post is bugged.
A successful partial delivery does not necessarily mean the entire order has been fulfilled.
What I recommend for the Golden Merchant trophy
Check your current in-game day and time.
Monitor the Royal Trading Posts every 7 in-game days, especially at midnight.
Check which city becomes available when the date changes.
Keep a separate save before the expected weekly rotation.
Check the total quantity requested by the Royal Trading Post.
Complete the entire requested delivery quantity.
If a trading post remains open after a delivery, check for any remaining required goods before assuming it's a bug.
One additional observation: I completed my remaining Royal Trading Post deliveries and earned the Platinum without doing any additional buying or selling at regular merchants. Based on my experience, regular trading does not appear to be necessary to trigger the Royal Trading Post rotation.
- Final results
I successfully completed deliveries at all four Royal Trading Posts:
- Demeniss: Day 237
- Delesyia: Day 258
- Hernand: Day 265
- Varnia: Day 272
After completing Varnia, I unlocked the Golden Merchant trophy and the Platinum Trophy (100%).
These findings are based on my own gameplay and recorded observations.
I hope this helps anyone who has been struggling with Royal Trading Posts.
If you've tested the weekly rotation or delivery quantities in your own game, please share your findings so we can help other players understand the system better.
