Overkill??
Just purchased a Saragosa 10000 and a Battalion II 11’. Im heading down to OBX in a couple weeks. Is the combo overkill?

Will be down in Duck first week of September. Plan to get some surfcasting in every sunrise/sunset. Been doing a lot of research. What have people been catching? Anyone ever have luck live lining a smaller bait fish? Videos ive seen online appear to be on the smaller end. Anything helps! Im a huge fisherman and would love to get more into surfcasting.
Could potentially explore outside of Duck but will most likely stay local all week

Is there a restaurant in Charleston that will cook your fishing catch? I’ve heard Waters Edge in Shem Creek does. Any others?
How has the near shore reef fishing been? I am heading out June 4th.
Havent put the boat in the water in 2-3 years after my dad passed. Old beat up skiff we cleaned up. I was getting it ready to put in the water for the season when I noticed some water dripping from underneath. Im not totally surprised and was honestly expecting this after sitting out in the elements for years. (New England winters)
I have no experience with fiberglass work. Up for the challenge tho. It looks like some bolts poked through towards the stern. Crack up towards the bow. All under the water line and underneath the boat. Is there a way to patch it up without completely ripping it a part?
