There are exactly 0 cashiers working at the Walmart on 17

I just finished up my Sunday grocery shopping and had to check everything out on a self-checkout express lane.

That's about as fun as it sounds. When I asked the lady manning the self to check out area, she said that everyone was off.

I should say I asked one of the 3 ladies managing the self-checkout area. Apparently, they couldn't spare one person to open up a single lane.

This isn't any of their fault and I don't blame them. I certainly blame management and the fucked up corporate culture that thinks they should be able to get away with it.

Edit:

For clarification, this is Walmart #632 at 1481 N Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant.

Dorchster Creek Access

I am a terminal couch potato but I love th water, love wandering creeks looking for rocks and fossils. Unfortunately, because of my addiction to the couch, I rarely go out and explore. Also I only know like two people who do not share the same interest. Therefore I don’t know of any good places to explore. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, can you access the dorchester creek from the trail by bacons bridge?

I can’t figure out how to add a picture to this post to show where I’m referring to, lol.

Reno permit

Hey how long should it take to get a rennovation permit to redo my kitchen cabinets. It’s been three weeks so far and I don’t know if the company is stalling or it does take this long. Can anyone give me there opinion? (That is if you know what you are talking about. Not interested if you aren’t a contractor or someone who is well versed in applying for these.)

Best place to watch Mexico World Cup game?

Cab someone concretely tell me a good spot to watch Mexico play England tonight? Not just any random bar, I’d like to be surrounded by Mexicans cheering on their team. Thanks!

Wentworth Mansion

Hi all - doing some research for an upcoming trip.

Based on some online reviews it seems Wentworth is a nice place to stay but I wanted so local opinions.
It looks like they also have a restaurant, Circa 1886. Is it a good place to dine?

Staying at IOP for a week: fishing

Anyone have a strategy to get on some redfish without a boat? I could rent a kayak for several hours but doesn’t look like anyone rents them early in the morning. I have a popping cork, shrimp, jigheads, plastic minnows and a salt strong skinny lipper.

Man isn’t it beautiful how you can drive on three different textures of road in the span of 10 minutes

Charleston is just so beautiful like that, there is definitely no damage being done to my car

Anyone move here from Colorado?

So I know this is a long shot but why not take it :)?

Long story short, I’ve been thinking about moving from here to CO. I’ve been here a little over a decade and love it here but some of the obvious cons (expensive relative to what you get, humidity, et al). I’ll be here at least a couple more years until kids finish school but wanted to see if there is anyone here from CO that could give some perspective of thoughts between here and there. More specifically, I’m in MtP now and interested in moving to Boulder in CO

Anyway, if you have experience with both and can give some perspective, please do!
