Australian staff caught up in Uber’s global cull of 3300 jobs
theage.com.auPlaying shooshies: The quiet grocery theft that’s going under the radar
To quote the author: "The truck deliveries are hassle-free. It’s the gig-ified ones I have to watch."
Seems like there are gig drivers that are stealing people's grocery items.
False alarm for the cash UE deliveries
Uber - you are a bunch of retards.
DoorDash Stats
Did DoorDash only on Saturday (Melbourne east side). Summarised the stats from the DD app Earnings page. Started at around 10:30 in the morning, had a break for dinner at around 4:30pm and continued from about 5:30pm to about 7:30pm. Did not turn on UE at all. No P&D jobs, and declined a few Woolworths/Coles groceries deliveries, otherwise accepted everything else including alcohol deliveries. There was DD promo 20 deliveries for $60 and 4 deliveries for $16. The Earnings include any tips and the "+$1 per order" etc. promos for busy zones. Did a total of 18 deliveries for the day.

news.com.auDoordash promo
Stayed off Doordash for about five weeks, and got this promo offer today. Better than the UE quests I'm getting of $10 for 10 jobs.

Screen recorder on iPhones
Is there an iOS app out there that can continuously record the screen, but at very low frame rates for example one frame per second? Want to have something like this recording constantly when I'm on UE or DD, so I have a record of the offers and their dollar amounts, I'm getting the feeling there's a discrepancy between the offers I see in the 10 seconds that the offer pops up for and what I earn after the trip.
The default one on iOS makes very large video files so I don't need that, and when I'm driving I don't want to do a screenshot every time an offer pops up.
Anyone using a van to deliver UE?
Anyone done these types of Petbarn massive batched orders? Can all of the orders fit inside a sedan or SUV?
UE not reimbursing for tolls anymore?
Went through Eastlink today for pickup in Eastland, noticed in the Trip Details screen the Fare breakdown didn't mention anything about tolls, I recall in the past it showed reimbursement of tolls, did that change?

Long distance jobs on UE/DD for bike riders
Out of interest for the ebike and manual bike riders out there, what's the longest distance for jobs you've done or been offered on UE or DD? I assume UE/DD don't offer bike riders 10km+ deliveries?

DoorDash scam
I don't know how to add another photo to my post about the DoorDash scam but there's the email sent out by DD about it last week. I got one today where I delivered a single packet of ketchup from Hungry Jacks, and the scammer was sending messages in the DD app saying they are DD Support and they need to remove the order from my account.
Got paid by a DD scammer
Got one of these scam ketchup packet deliveries on DD today. Also received messages in the DD app from the scammer, but just ignored it and delivered the ketchup packet. No doubt the recipient will wonder why Doordash left a HJ bag by their door and there's only a ketchup packet inside.
