Dual Personality

Dual Personality

Gotta love the dual personality of the N-Line 😂

Drive it hard and it happily drops to 7–9 kmpl. Drive it with a light foot and suddenly it’s giving nearly 20 kmpl.

This was with roughly 30% city + 70% highway. Didn’t expect this much difference tbh 😭📈

1 Month / 3,500 km with my i20 N Line

It's been exactly a month since I got my i20 N Line, and I've already clocked 3,500 km. I even drove it all the way from Kerala to Gujarat, so I've had a pretty good chance to experience the car in different conditions.

The first thing I have to say is — this car is ridiculously easy to drive.

Even after long hours behind the wheel, I don't feel tired or bored. The same goes for the passengers. The space and seating comfort, including the back seat, have been much better than I expected. It's genuinely comfortable to spend hours in this car.

And the engine... well, there's not much to say. It's peppy and fun.

Coming from a family that has mostly had Maruti and Honda cars, I'm used to naturally aspirated engines where you could be in 4th gear at 60 km/h or even 20 km/h and just press the throttle and the car would pull.

The N Line does need you to get past that initial turbo lag, which took me some time to get used to. I guess that's something you learn to work with when moving to a turbo-petrol.

The features surprised me the most

Coming from Maruti/Toyota ownership, Hyundai's features genuinely mesmerized me.

There are so many little features and conveniences that I'm still discovering things after a month.

I've had quite a few people ask me:

"Why did you spend this much on a hatchback?"

Honestly, I wanted a driver's car, and after 3,500 km, I'm 200% satisfied with that decision.

I absolutely love driving this thing.

Things I don't like:

It's obviously not perfect.

No ventilated seats at this price

No request sensor on the co-driver's side

Paint quality doesn't feel particularly impressive

Suspension is on the harder side — great on highways and at speed, but hitting a pothole can produce some really scary sounds 😅

Tyre noise is BAD. Probably my biggest complaint so far.

But here's the funny part...

None of these things really bother me once I'm driving the car.

Even before driving — the moment I get inside, see that interior and settle into the driver's seat, I just forget about all of it.

The interior is genuinely beautiful, and the exterior needs no introduction. I'm constantly getting looks from people while driving, and honestly...

That makes me ridiculously happy.

Absolutely loving this car. ❤️‍🔥

Apollo Alnac 4G tyres on i20 N Line — how are they?

I’ve heard the stock CEAT tyres on the i20 N Line aren’t that great. However, my recently purchased N Line came with Apollo Alnac 4G tyres instead.

Anyone here using the Alnac 4G on their N Line? How has your experience been with them so far?

i20 N Line horn - Suggestions

Recently got an i20 N Line N8 and I’m not really happy with the stock horn. It feels a bit underwhelming.

Has anyone changed theirs? Looking for suggestions for a better horn that suits the car.

Any recommendations?

Hidden i20 N Line features every owner should know?

Hello Folks,

I recently bought the i20 N Line N8 Manual. I had already decided on this car after researching its hardware, performance, and the features listed in the brochures and YouTube reviews.

However, after using it for the last two weeks, I've been pleasantly surprised by several small quality-of-life features that I never saw anyone mention. For example:

- ORVMs won't fold while the car is moving.

- The doors won't unlock while driving.

- The AC automatically switches from internal circulation when the sunroof is open and switches back when it's closed.

- The car reminds you if the headlights are off when it detects dark surroundings.

These little touches have made the ownership experience even better, and I keep discovering new things.

So, to fellow i20 N Line owners: What are some hidden features, useful settings, or lesser-known options that every owner should know? Whether it's comfort, convenience, safety, or performance-related, I'd love to hear your tips.
