Im just gonna say it, the big accident on Columbus today would not have been nearly as bad as it was if the road diets didnt exist and it was still 2 lanes both ways
what the title says, the accident on Columbus today happened because the light at West Main and Columbus was backed all the way up to the S jog on Columbus, a car was going around the jog and didnt expect there to be stopped cars all the way back there, causing 5 cars to to get hit in a chain of wreckage. If Columbus was still 2 lanes both ways at that spot, the backup would have been a lot shorter, and likely wouldn’t even be backed up at all bexcuse the light would actually still have good flow.
