Valheim World Editor: Live-edit your World and make it look the way you want.

Hello there,

Let me introduce Valheim World Editor, a standalone 3D editor for Valheim worlds, similar to MCEdit/WorldPainter for Minecraft. It's at a point where I think it's worth sharing (outside of the Mod website)

It reads the textures, models, and terrain straight from your Valheim install, so what you see matches the game. You can edit a saved world offline, or connect to your game or a dedicated server and watch the changes show up live.

What it does right now:

- Terrain: sculpt and paint brushes, plus roads, rivers, and caves. You can also go past the ±8 m height limit (mountains, canyons) without needing a mod, so it even works for console crossplay players. Preview a seed before the world exists: the start, boss altars, and traders. Or search for a seed by what's near spawn

- Building: a Workshop plot with every piece in the game, snapping and stability like the hammer. Blueprints are Homestead-compatible, and you can paste them into any world

- Dungeons: add or remove rooms in crypts, Frost Caves, and so on

- New worlds: preview a seed (boss altars, traders, start) before creating it, or search for a seed by what's near spawn

- Admin: inspect and edit chests and signs, search the world for items, restore one area from a backup, full undo history

- And more. Please see the documentation

It runs on Windows and Linux with no install, and it's open source. Live editing uses a small BepInEx plugin, but players joining your world don't need anything.

It's still actively developed, so bug reports and feature ideas are very welcome. I'm using Linux so I've only tested the Windows build in Wine, I would appreciate more Windows user to try it and report any issues.

Github Issues is the best place for them, but I'll happily take them on any mod site (Nexus, Thunderstore, Hexium).

/!\ And back up your world before trying it. /!\
