I have a US IBKR account and want to internally transfer ~$5k USD to a friend's IBKR account in Singapore, who'll then withdraw it to their DBS account (USD-capable, so no conversion needed).

Questions for anyone who's done this:

• Does IBKR charge anything for the internal transfer itself (account-to-account, not a withdrawal to a bank)? Their fee schedule only lists withdrawal fees, not internal transfer fees — can anyone confirm it's actually free?
• How long did it realistically take when transferring to a different person's account from US to Singapore ?
• Does the money stay in USD the whole way through, or does IBKR ever force a conversion step when moving between a US entity account and a Singapore entity account?
