Hello!

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on what would be a good ground cover for a small backyard in Tokyo? We have 2 dogs and there is turf back there right now, but honestly the turf is disgusting lol. We'd like something relatively low maintenance as its a small space and mowing would be very difficult to do regularly. (It's roughly a 1mx 8m area)

We were thinking something like kurapia or creeping thyme but I'm not sure how well that will do all year with dog traffic. We did clover in Canada and loved it, so we'd like something like that again.

The area gets morning sunlight and is mostly shaded for all of the day with very little sunlight in winter.
