This sub is so quiet - but it's the perfect place to ask the question. We have been married for a few decades. I'm retired in the US, my wife will retire in 3 years with a pension. We will then be moving to Japan where she is a citizen. Trying to get everything ready.
Discovered that the brokerage where our IRA sits will dump us once we've made them aware we have left the US. I read that Charles Schwab International will accept international accounts.
Where are you parking your IRA while living in Japan? My wife already has a bank account in Japan, so that's not an issue for us. Anything to watch out for?
