Any countries/islands like Malta?
I am very fascinated with Malta. It is a tiny island which, for most of its history, has less than 100,000 people. Yet, in terms of history and heritage, it has enough to rival even the world's greatest cities and some entire nations. From the old prehistoric temples to the incredible legacy of the knights to the suffering in WW2. It's people were incredibly resourceful, talented, and resilient, and their churches, homes, and streetscapes rival the best in Europe.
Is there any other island or small country that you can compare in this regard? Or am I too baised in favour of Malta?
