HSA Accounts associated with ACA Health Plans

If you are an early retiree and have an ACA high deductible plan with an HSA, do the health plans typically have a particular HSA Admin provider that they work with, or do you get to select your own HSA Admin?

How difficult are HSA Admins with approving receipts for reimbursement?

I am familiar with FSAs and HRAs where you use your card and it goes through, but a few days later, the Admin for the account flags the transaction and wants paperwork, and it just happens that it will be a royal pain to track down a receipt. This happened to me recently for a transaction that was done over the phone and getting a receipt will be difficult.

Are HSAs like this too? Or do the transactions always go through?

Seeking Reccs for ACA consultant (Virginia)

I'm looking for a health insurance consultant or broker who can advise on selecting a Virginia ACA plan. While I understand the basics, I'd prefer to have some expert guidance. Thanks for any reccs you can provide for ACA brokers who work with Virginia plans for individuals. Preferably someone you used personally or know someone who had a good experience with them.

Retiree Health Insurance

I am considering asking my small business employer if they would be willing to create a retiree health insurance benefit. I want to retire at the end of the year (age 52), and I am looking for an ACA alternative. I am willing to pay 100% of the cost, but ultimately, I would still want to compare it to ACA options.

When I ask the owner, what are the pros/cons that I need to be aware of from their perspective? Of course, I want to be sensitive to the impacts on their bottom line. This is a business I care a lot about, and the owner and I are close. I would appreciate any input you business owners may have for those of you who offer these plans.

Also, do you allow your retirees to take a year off of the plan and try an ACA plan but it they don't like it, can they come back to the retiree plan? Or if they ever drop the retiree plan, can they never get back on it?

I am hopefully starting PSIP soon. I am wondering what to expect between PSIP sessions. Will it be emotionally destabilizing such that I will have difficulty performing at work, or managing my life like I normally do? Will it sap my energy, or will I feel depressed? I know everyone is different, but what have you experienced?
