Would Imperial Mecheng care that my PS has a bit of an aerospace lean?

Specifically, my PS will have some stuff about propulsion(a jet engine project and a chemistry/rocket propulsion book). I don't really want to apply aerospace, I would much rather apply to mechanical engineering. Will the admissions team mind?

Is studying at imperial or cambridge worth the exorbitant international student fees if im not considering finance nor oil and gas?

I am hoping to be predicted A* maths, A*chem, hopefully A*phys, A further math

I want to apply to cambridge for either natural sciences(physical) or chemical engineering

I want to apply to imperial for either chemical engineering and materials science.

(I am also considering applying for a second time to imperial for chemistry, as a backup, but im unsure)

As I am an international student, ive calculated the tuition+rent+living costs to be 80k eur (70k gbp) per year at cambridge and 70k eur (60k gbp) at imperial

If i do not apply oxbridgeimp, i will apply to engineering(with late specialisation) at other UK universities.

For other UK universities(manchester, glasgow, warwick, etc, the total yearly cost is around 50-60k eur (40-50k gbp)

The salary estimations for oxbridgeimp seem to be inflated by the amount of students that go into finance or oil and gas. I am not interested in either.

Do you have any advice as to whether the higher salaries of any of those courses compensate for the extra cost incurred?
