Coming back home to meat eaters

After spending a year away for college in my vegan bubble I’ve come back to my family who doesn’t see animals as more than objects to be exploited.
They keep trying to make me eat meat and I keep refusing.
I’ve offered to cook them vegan meals multiple times but they keep refusing.
Is there a recipe for anything that tastes like it contains meat when it actually doesn’t?
I want to prove them wrong on their prejudices against veganism.

Uncured resin

I’m VERY new to two part resin and even though my first cast went perfectly and cured nice and solid everything I pour keeps turning into goo.
It acquires this very thick honey-like texture but it doesn’t really cure at all.
It’s genuinely gone downhill, my first pour was perfect, the second one was a bit squishy but it hardened just fine after a bit and now my last two pours are just a thick gooey mess.
I suspect it’s the ink, though it’s totally possible that I’ve just screwed up the ratio.
Any tips?

Pressure pots

I JUST got into dice making and have come across the problem of bubbles overtaking my dice. I know it can be fixed with a pressure pot but I refuse to spend 200€.
Do I need negative or positive air pressure to get the bubbles out?
If it’s positive I guess I can find a way to connect a bike pump into a cooking pressure pot but I have no clue what to do if it’s negative.

DM journal

I’m thinking about making a DM journal to keep all the info on world building, character sheets, spells, past adventures, NPCs, homebrews and so on.
I want your opinion, what else would you add to said journal?

Underworld in dnd

Is there an underworld in DnD? I’m talking Hades or Hel kinda underworld.
I was thinking it might be nice to have an adventure set down under.
I know about the underdark but that’s not really the land of the dead, is it?
I still have to learn a lot about dnd world lore.

Lawful evil PC

I’m the DM.
One of my players insists in playing a lawful evil high elf cleric who refuses to fight and instead heals the party according to her own criteria.
Essentially she wants to be insufferable.
She described her character as self absorbed, selfish and materialistic.
That’s ok by me and i think she’ll make a really interesting character. However I don’t know how well she’ll get along with the rest of the party.
Outside of character she’s a really nice person and gets along nicely with the rest of the players. But I know for a fact her character’s personality will bring conflict.
Maybe that’s what she wants, idk, she hasn’t given me her backstory yet.

To be honest I can only see this leading down two drastically different paths.
Either her character’s personality develops and changes her alignment or she winds up becoming some sort of villain.

You can never predict what the players will wind up doing so maybe they’ll figure out a third secret path, who knows.

Dnd beyond paid content

Is there a way to get access to the sourcebooks in dnd beyond that are behind a paywall for free?

I need to create characters from species and classes that are not in the basic free content.

I use dnd beyond for character sheets so if you know another app that has pretty much every character option under the sun for free I’d appreciate it.
I know I could do the math myself with the species and class stats but it’s too much of a headache, I’m a bit of a noob and still don’t know how to do it by myself.

Artificer class

I’m new to dnd, I have only been playing for a couple of days and I’ve been learning the rules for a few weeks.
Dnd beyond has helped me understand how different classes work but since they don’t have an artificer option I haven’t really gotten the hang of it.
Does anyone know a good video explanation that dumbs the class down? Maybe in the near future I can get acquainted with the more complex aspects of this class but as of right now I’m completely in the dark.

Videos on paladins would also be nice since I’m DMing and I haven’t understood that role 100% just yet.

Writing down campaign lore

I’m the DM.
Now that my dnd campaign has gotten serious I have to start writing down a lot of lore.
I suppose I could just use Google Docs, but that doesn’t really help me organize at all.
What app or website do you use?

DnD beyond

I want to create my character sheet In dnd beyond like I always have but I want to play a species that’s not in dnd beyond’s options. Can I add a custom species or something or do I have to find myself some other website?

My first ever campaign and I might have to DM

I have never played DnD before, I’ve wanted to play for years and I’ve finally found a group I can play with but I have no idea if I’ll have to dm.
In any case, I want to prepare hence this post.
I don’t want to buy the players handbook and dungeon master’s guide but I also suck at reading from screens.
Does anyone have a drive document I can simply change the font to a dyslexic version from?
