Tutoring as a stay-at-home mom

I graduated from college with a degree in Finance back in May, and I have a five month old that I take care of full time. I’m looking to make some money while still being a SAHM. I am fortunate to have family nearby that can watch baby while I work for a little bit here and there.

I don’t have any experience tutoring but I’ve always liked helping kids and classmates of mine with schoolwork. My only experience teaching kids would be my two younger siblings and those I’ve babysat.

I would like to do elementary or middle school math. I also wouldn’t mind doing elementary English or algebra for older kids. What should I do to get started? Where can I brush up on the current curriculum for these ages/subjects? What makes a good tutor stand out?

Edit: I am looking to do in-person tutoring primarily. I hope the title isn’t misleading😅.

Floor-bed with rails for cosleeping with 12 week old?

Would this kind of frame be safe for me and my 12 week old to sleep on for the foreseeable future?

Our current mattress is on the floor pushed into the corner (it’s a small room so it has to be in the corner) and he’s been rolling off or moving to where his head is pushed up against the wall. The base molding on the wall is detailed and taller than the mattress so I worry he’s going to hurt or cut himself on it.

He’s incredibly active while he sleeps and I fear it’s only going to get worse as he gets older. He’s been rolling off the bed since he was 9 weeks old and he’s completely helpless when he’s on the floor! If he could get back onto the bed himself I wouldn’t be so concerned with him falling off.

I feel like the rails on this frame would mitigate the issues we’re having right now, but I’ve read it poses other risks. I’m torn! I try to keep him in one place is much as possible but there’s only so much I can do. He squirms and moves like an inch worm and it gets him surprisingly far.

I placed my almost seven week old on his back while asleep and he rolled onto his side (which he’s done since birth), sat there for a few minutes jerking around (kicking and punching because he’s gassy lol), and then flipped over onto his belly which woke him up. Does this count as a roll? Should I be concerned about leaving him in a bassinet that says to stop use when they’ve begun to roll? He was on my bed when this happened so he had the space to flip over.

He has very good neck strength and is pretty strong for his age which many people have commented on. He’s my first so I have no other baby to compare him to. I feel like this wouldn’t count as a roll since it wasn’t one continuous motion, but I want to know if I should consider it one so I can be safe with swaddling, sleep spaces, etc.

Is it normal for babies this age to do this?
