Pro Sayulita’s latest monthly water quality testing from June 23, 2026 was just published on July 4. Not good—682 NMP/100mL for the North Side testing location is way above the suggested guidelines.

Numbers had been good for several months so this seems like a real setback. And without much rhyme or reason for the results between Playa Principal and North Side testing locations, it doesn’t instill a lot of faith for visitors as where swimming is actually and consistently safe.
