I’m currently planning to permanently relocate to Sardinia and I am looking for a year-round rental. My main goal is to be as close to the beach as possible (walking distance to the sea would be the absolute dream), and I would love some local insight to help me figure things out.

I am heavily focusing on the North-East coast and places like San Teodoro, Budoni, Orosei, and Costa Rei are on my radar. Of course, I am completely open to other recommendations you might have for a good year-round coastal base.

I have a few specific questions for those living there:

Finding a Rental: What is the most effective way to find annual/permanent rentals?

Rental Prices: What is a realistic monthly rent I should expect for a decent 1 bedroom apartment in these areas, considering I want to be close to the water?

Cost of Living: How much should I budget monthly for standard utilities (electricity, water, internet, garbage tax)?

Winter Life: I know coastal towns can get very quiet off-season. Do the towns I mentioned completely shut down during the winter, or do they still maintain a decent quality of life (supermarkets open, a few cafes)? Are there any specific coastal towns you would recommend for someone living there permanently?

Any advice, tips, or reality checks about making a permanent move to the coast are more than welcome.

Vara asta, din diferite motive, a rămas să-mi fac vacanța solo, fără tovarăși (că unii s-au băgat în datorii până în gât, alții și-au făcut-o deja prin Romania pe bonuri de vacanță). Vin către voi cu nevoia de recomandări despre cum aș putea călători singur, ce destinații să aleg să nu îmi spargă buzunarul. Aș vrea o destinație nouă cu plaje cu nisip. Am fost in Cipru, Sardinia, Budva/Kotor, Zakynthos, Zadar.

Nu m-ar deranja și experiențe de genul unei săptămâni petrecute pe un velier/catamaran, dar din ce am observat, preturile sunt măricele pentru asemenea experiență. Aș fi curios și de călătorit în stilul home stay-uri, dacă a avut cineva șansa să o facă, acolo aș putea sta mai mult, având în vedere că pot lucra din orice țară UE.

Pot să plec din Budapesta, Timișoara, Belgrad, și eventual, Cluj-Napoca. Buget total aproximativ 1000€. Exclus hoSteluri.

Apreciez orice sfat sau părere :)

Salut, are cineva bon fiscal cu codul respectiv pentru promotia 1 punct = 1 leu? M-ar interesa daca e cineva care stie sigur ca nu mai ajunge la cinema. Mersi!

Eram curios dacă sunt persoane care au fost recent la film la Cinema City, au primit acel voucher cu puncte și sunt dispuse să îl distribuie (exclusiv dacă sunt siguri că nu îl vor folosi).

Nu ar fi mai interesant să avem un sistem combinat între UCL și cel din esports? Adică să avem grupele in sistemul UCL, iar după grupe să existe un "bracket" separat pentru pierzători. Să zicem că suntem în 16imi, luăm un bracket de 4 echipe aleatorii Franța, Spania, Portugalia și Bolivia. Franța joacă cu Spania, Portugalia cu Bolivia. Franța și Portugalia câștigă și se califica mai departe. Bolivia și Spania să meargă într-un bracket de pierzători, unde să joace între ele, iar câștigătorul dintre pierzători sa mai aibă o șansă pentru cupa mondială. Așa elimini calificările pe noroc și aduci mai mult spectacol competiției. Gândiți-vă acum să vedem un bracket al pierzătorilor (Japonia - Africa de Sud, Germania - Olanda de exemplu). Consider că ar aduce și mai mulți bani și ar fi un sistem mai aproape de meritocrație și valoarea reală.

I've been in Cyprus in May, got homeless for one entire night because the owner of the stay had the door locked and didn't answer any of the calls from me/booking. They offered me 40€ difference to book another stay, i couldnt due to the fact that i got homeless at officially at 1:30 AM local time and it's impossible to book another stay for the same day (check in times are 2-3pm). Had exactly 32 calls with their customer service, that didn't help at all. Around 5:30 AM they offered me a place to stay (they said it's ready, it wasnt). I got into the hotel at 9 AM, payed with my card 577€, a difference of around 430€ from the previous stay. They promised to refund it, asked them 10 times, told them that i need the money for the bills, and the very next day, they told me "oh, we got you, no problem, we'll send the money". Later that day, i got 430€ in booking credits. In that mail i gave them all my banking details. I called ECC but still no answer.

Can i do something in order to get my money back in the initial method of payment, which was card?

Mă gândeam in timp ce priveam meciul dintre Germania și Curacao că avem destule motive de amuzament, având în vedere că ai noștri comentatori sunt scoși din pungile de pufuleți.

Vă invit pe toți să expuneți perlele marilor comentatori români din meciurile de până acum și din cele ce urmează.

Știu că s-a vorbit despre asta, dar cred că suntem foarte mulți nemulțumiți și poate am reuși să facem ceva să mișcăm lucrurile în favoarea noastră, a consumatorilor.

Muncind de acasă, am zis "hai să-mi descarc meciul de azi-noapte, să văd cum s-a jucat și cât s-a terminat". Comentariul puțin mai decent decât cel de la Mexic, dar în continuare lipsit de patos. Simțeam că mă ascult pe mine la 6 ani, când jucam FIFA 96 și îmi comentam singur meciul (fără exagerare). Și acolo era mai mult hype la mine decât la ei.

Chiar nu se poate face nimic să îi mobilizăm să îi aducă pe cei de la TVR să comenteze meciurile? Nu poți să îl aduci pe Ștefan Bănică in studio, nu are niciun sens din niciun punct de vedere, eventual daca e vreo mamaie care a păcălit menopauza. Situația actuală e similară cu cea a lui Morar, de comenta F1 și a zburat rapid din schemă, neavând nicio legătură cu sportul respectiv.

Personal, mă voi uita pe BBC iplayer și pe MagentaTV (în germană). Dacă știți voi vreo alternativă 4k în orice limbă, m-ați ajuta mult.

După cum spune și titlul, aș avea nevoie de o bicicleta pentru înălțimea mea, sau sfaturi cum sa sortez mai bine căutările pentru a găsi ceva potrivit pentru mine. Nu o folosesc pentru daily, prefer un MTB pentru ieșiri ocazionale. Buget preferabil 2000RON. Eventual și la ce să fiu atent când merg să văd o bicicletă.

Me (M26) and 2 other friends of mine, are planning to come to this beautiful island around mid May for 4 days. I found out some gorgeous places to stay in Protaras, but it seems to be quite far from the airport. We would arrive late, somewhere close to 10:30-11pm. I found some good deals for renting cars (around 40€ for 3 days, but we have a problem with the added tax that's more than 100€ for the fact we are coming after the working hours). We are quite cheap travellers, so we would like to know if there's another option to rent a car, or if we should look for another spots of the island where to stay.

Now, my honest questions are:

1. Where is the nicest area to stay in Cyprus if you want both beautiful beaches and nightlife in May? One of us doesnt drink so it's ok if it's reachable within 20 minutes by car.

2. Can we find a better deal after we arrive for the car, or is there any other way to avoid that extra tax? (Without going to stay in a place for one night and then move on).

3. What would you visit in 3 days if you would be tourists in your country?

4. How's the public transport?

5. Where to find best boat trips deals?
