Theory for the real translation of Venti's statue.
Reminder: Just a theory so be nice please!
Brief explanation: I always thought the 'Gateway to Celestia' theory was too simple to be true, especially for something that was released towards the start of the game. I also am not massively keen on Teyvat Script, but i'm not here to debate that so lets save that point for another time.
So I got digging, and (to skip a long winded explanation), I found a striking resemblance to the Enochian Alphabet.
I spent hours matching these symbols to those on Venti's statue.
After this, I then used a Latin based translation to start forming English words and sentences.
Admittedly, I had to use inferences and slightly alter meanings for certain words in the context of the rest of the sentence, but here are my findings.
It felt fairly logical the entire time I was deciphering, so i'm hopefully.
Just to add one thing: I wasn't sure if 'ATR' was its translation meaning dark or darkness, or a phonetic spelling of EITR, so I have included both.
Not sure what this means yet but thought I would take to the internet for any constructive views and opinions!
I am part way through putting a whole theory together but if anyone is interested, I can attach images of my pairings of Enochian letters to the in game ones.
(As a little footnote, I was told by someone yesterday that the name of the font people thought Teyvat Script was written in was called Enochian)
