Just flew from EWR to BKK and back on the A350-900 ULR for the first time (landed 3 hours ago at EWR so I feel a bit crazy). Was a good flight both ways, service was excellent, pilots did a good job avoiding turbulence, and flights were right on time. I'm curious though about why SQ 21 flew the Europe route, and SQ 22 went the opposite direction over the Pacific? Is it the wars in Ukraine/Iran with a situation that may have changed over the past 2 1/2 weeks, or do they normally do this because of jet streams? We were absolutely cooking over the Pacific with a 220 km/h tailwind.
