Does anyone have tipps for my cheap DIY bike restoration

Hi I recently got a 88 Kawasaki KLR 600 wich according to the owner had a blown engine. I bought it of of him for 100€ with all the papers ec.
I got her running the same evening by just giving her a new Batterie and letting her turn over a little bit. In the old oil there weren’t any metal shavings.
Now to my questions. Those are meant to people who have experience in bike restauration.

First of all she smokes when I give her a little gas. It starts at around 3-5k rpm. Smoke is white. Does she burn oil or is this normal after 5years in the garden.
Second does anyone of you has a good idea on how to fix the turn signals? The rubber is completely gone and I don’t want to buy new ones for 80€

Thanks in advance

Anybody here got a klr and can send me pics of the carburator? I got an abandoned one for 100€ and there are various pipes not attached to anywhere

Any U424 Experts here to give a little help?

Hi Unimog Fans,
In January my dad got himself a unimog to restore it. It’s a u424 1200. It was used to clear roads before so the entire back was rusty. We have all that figured out but now putting everything back together is kind of a struggle. Currently we’re putting the brake calipers back on but there are two different screws for that?
If anyone can help and needs further information on that please ask.
