Hi there!
As I mentioned in the title, I have a hysterectomy scheduled for late august. I’m 40 and have always suffered badly with endo and adeno. I had a laparoscopy with excision about 5 years ago which helped a lot with endo stuff and also gave me my official diagnosis for both. In the last year things have gotten really worse to the point of me being functionally disabled and thankfully my surgeon agreed to a hysterectomy and scheduled it! I’m very ready to move beyond this constant pain even though it’s a big decision.
I would really appreciate if anyone has any advice about the surgery and maybe how to manage the pain for the next few months. I’m taking difene now twice a day for the cramps to varying degrees of efficacy but recently I’ve been waking up with bad cramps every morning. I have to get up and eat in order to take the difene so it’s ages before I can get working (I’m self employed). Does anyone have any advice for reducing the morning pain?
Also if anyone has any top tips about post surgery recovery, I’d so appreciate hearing it!
