A grinding noise when you brake isn't normal
So, into my 2nd year with my dolphin and about 2 months after i bought the car, i noticed when i broke that the car would make a grinding noise. i hadn't owned an EV before so i enquired about this with the dealer. they told me it was normal.
It absolutely isn't. The grinding noise got allot more pronounced about 2 months ago and i brought it in to be looked at. Apparently, it's the wheels themselves. Both sets of tires were replaced, and now the noise is completely gone.
There's something funky going on with firefox and instagram (see comments for explanation)

v.redd.itI've pretty much been anti AI since the beginning, and i'm still against generative AI when it comes to things like art, but something happened over the past week thats completely changed my mind
Hey all, to preface this: i studied programming in college but since i joined the workforce i've used it very minimally. so, as i said in the post i'm pretty anti AI in most respects. I think it's taking creative work from people, i think it's destroying PC gaming as a hobby and it's definitely causing people to lose their jobs, but, all that being said:
My company has been using a very very old piece of software for the last 15 years. it's a simple exe that takes some output from one system, and feeds it to another. it's not extensible, it's old, creaky and completely inflexible. With the help of chatgpt, i've completely rebuilt it's functionality into a new executable and revamped the entire core of features. it's now moddable, extensible, customisable and very portable. previously, it would take a good few days of training to learn the basics and a few more to learn how to install and configure on a customers system.
Now it's a 5 minute install procedure and it's so simple a customer can configure it themselves. secure, rock stable and exactly what was needed.
I'm absolutely floored by how quickly i was able to build this with chatgpt, it's crazy. it handled all the nitty gritty, the syntax, the coding errors, everything. I'm speechless to be honest. this is going to save our company literally tens of thousands of man hours over the next 5 years. Boss hasn't a clue, i'm going to present it to him at the company meeting friday. wish me luck.
