Seroquel and shaking/tremor/tics

Hello everyone.

I have struggled with sleep for a while, and I recently got prescribed Seroquel 25 mg. I have only used Seroquel during the last 2 nights, 25 mg tablet each night.

I also use ketoconazole shampoo for dandruff.

Before y'all tell me that I am stupid for mixing medications without checking the safety profile, I already know. I have used ketoconazole for a while now and didnt think that it would interact with Seroquel.

Apparently using ketoconazole shampoo messes with a liver enzyme that breaks down Seroquel, which leads to a massive increase in available Seroquel in the blood.

Today I woke up and felt drowsy. It didnt cross my mind that the drowsiness was from using ketoconazole and Seroquel last night. And I went to school.

During my time there, I absolutely could not stop moving/twitching my back, chest and neck muscles.

I could not stop shaking/having tics, and I was having muscle spasms in my neck, chest and back the whole day.

According to google, this is called "dyskinesia".

One of my classmates asked me what my problem was, but I just laughed it off. 😁

Is this a normal side effect for Seroquel?

Has anyone else also experienced this?

Does the shaking and twitching go away if I stop using Seroquel for some nights?

Should I stop using ketoconazole and Seroquel for some time?

I will most likely experience insomnia, but its better than violently twitching and having dyskinesia.

I probably shouldnt have mixed Seroquel with ketoconazole. Holy shit 🤣🤣.
