What is it about the zipper merge that people don’t get?

Do we just genuinely not teach it? Do people know how to do it correctly and just fear social retribution? Peer pressure to do what everyone else is doing? And why do people get so mad about it?? Especially if you know it’s right, why get mad about it?

I’ve been in several different states and rarely have I seen more than 1% doing it correctly. I could probably count on one hand the other cars I’ve seen do it the past year.

Every time I’ve done it people have literally tried to run me off the road. It’s been as bad as having to call the police more than once. Yet. I continue to still do it, because people need to be exposed to it. If we just all fold and get in one lane, then it won’t get any better, we’re just part of the problem!

TT bike? Scott 30 for $600?

For $600 is this a good buy? I’ll want to change out the bar tape and seat. I do have extra Zipp aero bars I’d want to switch out.

10+ year old road bike to 10 year old TT bike

I have an old Schwinn road bike, added aero bars and it’s been honestly pretty great so far. But there are some funky little things, that I’d want changed. But aren’t detrimental to riding at all. I’ve got the fit down pretty well and it’s comfortable.

But For what I would change and the cost I might as well buy a TT, right? But I can’t afford anything much newer than 10 years old.

At that point is it worth it?
