Be honest. How much money have you wasted on skincare that did absolutely nothing?

34F here and i did the math last week and I genuinely wish I hadn't like between serums, moisturizers, toners, essences, masks, tools and lierally whatever else tiktok convinced me I needed, I've easily spent over $5,000 in the last 4 years. Probably more actually and for what? My skin looked the same.

I fell into the trap of thinking every new product was going to be "the one" like the $65 serum that would finally fix my texture, the $40 moisturizer that would give me the glow, the $25 exfoliant that would smooth everything out. I'd use something for 2 weeks, see no miracle results and move on to the next thing like rinse and repeat for years and the worst part is that I thought I was being smart about it. I was reading ingredients, watching reviews, comparing products but I was still just throwing money at the problem without ever addressing what was actually going on with my skin.

I finally broke the cycle a few months ago when I simplified everything and actually committed to a basic routine with one or two things that work on a deeper level and my skin has never looked better and my routine costs a fraction of what I was spending before.
