For long-time Shockwave players: Which units or features felt so natural that they honestly should have been in the vanilla Zero Hour from day one?
Zero Hour felt rushed and unfinished, but the Shockwave Mod perfectly fixed and expanded the core game without ruining its identity. Some additions feel so natural that going back to vanilla feels incomplete.
General Leang’s Identity: In vanilla, she was just a lazy copy-paste boss. Shockwave gave her a proper role as the Special Weapons General with unique tech like Tremor Artillery.
Laser Tanks for Townes: The "Laser General" didn't even have a main laser tank in vanilla. Shockwave fixed this by adding the Laser Crusader and Centurion.
Juhziz’s Remote Detonation: Vanilla Juhziz was just a boring suicide-unit spammer. Shockwave turned him into a real guerrilla strategist with remote IEDs and building traps.
Logistics & Transports: Unique supply trucks and varied troop transports added a needed layer of supply-line strategy.
What about you guys? Which unit or mechanic from Shockwave makes you think: "EA really missed the mark by leaving this out of the 2003 release"?
