First time welding

First time welding. 6010 1/8th inch sticks. How bad do I suck?

Scored a job (day one of week 2) but I’m worried I’m too dumb for this

I was a laborer (small gc) that I guess made a good impression on some guys and they offered me a job. Everyone is cool and I’m trying my best but sometimes I feel like an idiot bc I don’t know shit that seems so simple to them. They have me in the pipe shop for now, I can read a tape and I’m not afraid of asking questions if I’m unsure of what I’m doing. I’m not afraid of trying something new but I make it pretty clear if I haven’t done something before but somehow still feel like I’m not good enough. I show up on time I don’t do drugs. This is a serious opportunity to change my life for the better and I’m treating it that way. Any pointers? As I’m typing this it feels like self esteem issues more than incompetence
